Netta Record

Netta Record - Deputy CEO
I started working for Reach in January 2017 originally as PA to the Projects Director, and after holding the Office Manager role became General Manager in March 2020.

Before working for Reach I spent 19 years at HM Customs & Excise.  When I left I was working in the training department.  I then worked as a Staff Training Manager at a Further Education College.  I was made redundant after 11 years there, and having been unemployed for nearly two years (other than odd temporary jobs), I know how it feels to be claiming benefits and worrying about where the next rent payment is going to come from!  Thankfully I had good friends and family around me.

I have my CIPD Qualification in Human Resource Management from Anglia Ruskin University and I am a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development (CIPD).  Whilst unemployed I completed my Level 2 Bookkeeping qualifications.

I was born in Hampshire, but have spent much of my life in Essex, living near sunny Southend on Sea.  I moved to Cambridgeshire in July 2017.

Outside of work my main love is Girlguiding, I am Assistant County Commissioner for Girlguiding Cambridgeshire East (this essentially means that I am assistant to the lead volunteer in Girlguiding Cambridgeshire East responsible for around 4500 members (girls, young women and volunteers).  I am also assistant leader to a Ranger unit (girls 14+) in Ely.  My other hobbies include needlecraft, crafting, gardening and UK Social & Economic History.
