Important updates from Reach about COVID-19
Our office and Resource Centre are closed - but we are still helping people facing poverty and crisis!
And we still need your support to help them
As a result of new Government guidelines regarding COVID-19 our Resource Centre and main office are now closed until further notice. So here’s how you can get support and give support (we will update this page if anything further changes!)
How to get support
If you are in need of emergency food or advice:
Please phone on 01440 712950 / 01440 268003 or email us at email@example.com
Our advisers will assess you over the phone.
We are continuing, as far as we can, to help local people in need through:
Emergency food parcels – if you need food, we will arrange a time to drop off a foodbox outside your door.

'If I have money to buy food but am self isolating etc., what can I do?'
There are some brilliant people out there that have put together community support groups to help those in isolation and in short of food and essential supplies. Get help through from the facebook support group -'Lets Get Through COVID-19 Together, Haverhill'
How to give support
We’d really welcome food donations as more people than ever could be at risk of going hungry during this crisis. But please do not drop off any food donations at our Resource Centre or office as both are now closed.
Instead, please drop your food donations at:
Tesco - Cangle Road, Haverhill
Sainsbury’s - Haycocks Road, Haverhill
Ipswich Building Society - Haverhill
Co-op - Swan Street, Sible Hedingham
Co-op - Market Hill, Clare
Co-op - 106 High Street, Linton
Please check the opening times before donating.
If you are short of food to donate because of current supermarket restrictions, low stocks and issues with online shopping – we would welcome monetary donations instead.
If you donate funds, we will use it to buy food supplies if not enough are donated due to supermarket restrictions, and to scale up our home delivery service.
We’re working with the Trussell Trust who are in turn working with supermarket chains to find ways of getting a reliable source of food supplies.
You can donate online here.

Many of you want to know how you can volunteer at the foodbank but as a result of recent Government guidelines, we have asked most of our current volunteers to stay at home and we will also not be taking on any new volunteers at this time.
We have made alternative provision for packing food parcels for the time being.
But if you’d like to be kept updated on when new volunteering opportunities become available, and other ways you can help, make sure you sign up here to get our newsletter, if you don’t already get it.
We just want to say a huge, huge thank you to everyone for their incredible support during this difficult and uncertain time. To see the community come together to support one another has been amazing to see and we have been so grateful for all the food and money that has been donated to date.
